Hillsides

I took this photo in Hulne Park. I took it because I really like the stone walls that curve all over the pastures to seperate the animals instead of fences like I am used to seeing. I included this in my blog to represent landscape and also to document my days spent on the trails of Hulne Park.

Remains of an Abbey

I took this picture in York. It is a picture of the remains of an old abbey. I took this photo because I thought the structure standing by itself was really neat and I like the shadows and sunlight portrayed on the structure. I included this in my blog to portray architecture and to document one the the sites we saw in York on our field trip.

Music in Town Square

I took this photo as the first thing I saw as we entered the town square here in Alnwick. I thought the iron bench was really neat and I loved its artistic structure. I wanted to include this in my blog to represent still life/object and also because music is one of my passions and I just thought this bench was so cool.

Feels Like Home

I took this photo as the snow was falling in Alnwick for the first time since we've been here. I wanted to include this in my blog to portray people and I thought the old couple hurrying to get out of the weather was cute. The light snow made me think of home and how lucky we are to have this weather instead of the negative temperatures.

Pigeons in the Park

I took this photo while walking through a park in York. I thought it was funny how everyone was running up to the pigeons to get a picture of nature/wildlife and all the birds started skurrying like crazy. I included this in my blog to represent nature and I liked the different lighting throughout the photo.

Nightlife in York

I was sitting on the bus waiting to leave York to go back to Alnwick when I looked out the window and saw this gorgeous sky. I took this photo to portray night and I wanted to include it in my blog because I loved the colors of the sky contrasting with the dark trees and street lights.

Splish Splash

This photo was taken of a fountain outside of the York City Art Gallery. I wanted to add this photo on my blog as an abstarct/experimental picture. I loved visiting the art gallery and I thought the fountain outside was gorgeous. This picture documents my trip to York.

The Dragon

I took this photo to portray motion. This dragon is actually a bench in the town square and I thought the bench was very artistic. I wanted to add this photo in my blog for motion because it looked as though the dragons head was moving downward.

Larger Than Life

I took this photo at the York Minster as a low camera angle shot. I wanted to take this picture because I thought the Minster was gorgeous and I loved the architecture of the building. I wanted to put this in my blog to document my favorite part about the York field trip.

Cobblestones

I took this photo up on some steps to represent a high camera angle. I wanted to take this picture because I liked all the diffent texture of the stones, bricks, and stairs. I wanted to include this in my blog to document all the cobblestone sidewalks and streets that line Alnwick.
